Germany's economics minister is back home after a trip to Washington focusing on how to save General Motors' European unit Opel. Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg was upbeat after his meetings with US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and GM CEO Rick Wagoner. Germans fear that if GM goes bankrupt, that could mean doom for Opel and its 56 thousand workers -- most of them in Germany.
