The European Parliament has passed a resolution urging Russia to withdraw its troops from Georgia under the ceasefire deal agreed last month. Attempts by some EU lawmakers to place blame on Georgia for 'inappropriate intial behavior" were rejected. The IMF has proposed a loan for Georgia of some 480 million Euros to help it recover from the conflict. This, as relations between Moscow and Tbilisi plummet to a new low.
