Diplomatic efforts are being stepped up to put an end to the crisis in Georgia. French President Nicolas Sarkozy is headed to Moscow today for talks aimed at halting the fighting between Russian and Georgian forces in the Caucausus region. Meanwhile, US President George W. Bush has issued a stern warning to Russia not to expand its military operations in Georgia. Bush joined other world leaders in urging Moscow to accept a ceasefire agreement already signed by the Georgian president.
