Do airlines deserve compensation? The European Commission says it will look into their pleas for help

The closure of airspace over Europe is causing havoc for companies. Some analysts say the disruption could cause losses of up to 3 billion dollars for passenger airlines and cargo carriers. The volcanic ash cloud is disrupting exports and has brought air freight services to a halt. European airlines say they'll be seeking compensation from their governments.
