Coca-Cola Plans Germany Layoffs

Coca-Cola Co.'s largest bottler in Germany said on Monday it planned to lay off 900 of its 10,000 employees, a 9 percent cut in its workforce. The company said that three plants operated by Coca-Cola Erfrischungsgetränke AG would be closed in the cities of Cologne, Karlsruhe and Osnabruck as part of consolidation efforts.
