The German Federation of Journalists and Amnesty International have announced they will hold a joint rally in Berlin to protest Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's state visit this month.
The journalist and translator, who was on remand in Turkey on terror-related charges, has flown home with her three-year-old son. Although a Turkish court lifted her travel ban, she still faces trial in October.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Germany for a three-day state visit. Several demos are planned around the capital, Berlin, as the Turkish president prepares for a state banquet and a mosque opening in Cologne.
