International efforts are taking shape to set up a maritime corridor to deliver urgently needed aid to Gaza. A ship carrying humanitarian aid from a US charity is preparing to leave Larnaca in Cyprus for Gaza. This comes as the United States says it plans to build a temporary offshore pier off the coast of Gaza. But, officials say, this could take up to 60 days to complete.
