Security concerns are mounting after a dramatic incident at a high-profile dinner at Washington's Hilton hotel attended by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
As around 2,600 guests were dining on Saturday, a suspected intruder breached security, prompting agents to rush the president to safety. CCTV footage later shared by Trump raised questions about access controls. US media report the suspect may be a lone attacker.
Three DW journalists who attended the event share their experience. DW also spoke with terrorism expert Hans-Jakob Schindler about previous security incidents involving the US president.
