Misha Komadovsky is a Ukrainian-born journalist in Washington, DC. He began his DW career in 2017 at the Moscow bureau, and joined the Washington team as a US correspondent in 2025. Misha previously served as a White House correspondent for Voice of America, becoming one of the youngest members of the White House press corps and covering three US administrations. He was also among the few journalists who entered the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021, reporting from inside and documenting the storming of the Capitol. He focuses on US foreign policy, global diplomacy and Russia's war in Ukraine. Asked what he does for a living, Misha puts it simply: "I tell stories — people's stories that matter."
