Kyiv temperatures plummeted to minus 20 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, marking the coldest stretch of the winter.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that strikes across Ukraine specifically targeted the power grid. These attacks appear designed to weaponize the freeze, cutting civilians off from light, heat, and water during life-threatening lows.
