Czech scientist warns how cat parasite can affect humans

For years, a Prague researcher has warned against toxoplasma gondii. But not everyone is convinced.

The idea that cats somehow make their owners crazy is a staple of urban legends. But one Czech researcher has made it his mission to prove the link. Jaroslav Flegr contends that a parasite transmitted by cats can cause an array of problems including schizophrenia. Since his research began, others have joined the fray. Shant Shahrigian reports from Prague.
