An Israeli court ordered two New Zealanders to pay a fine of over €10,000 for having spurred Lorde to cancel a Tel Aviv concert. The duo said they would fundraise instead of paying — and they've already raised thousands.
Israel and Germany have restarted bilateral consultations after long-standing disagreements about settlement building. Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she agrees that Israel faces an increased threat from Iran.
Both are keen to emphasize strong bilateral relations. That's despite disagreements on several issues – including the Iran nuclear deal. Both leaders agree, however, that everything must be done to stop Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
