Off the coast of Liguria in northwestern Italy, there's an underwater garden that's growing all kinds of food, from beans to basil. The sea floor may not seem an obvious choice for cultivating plants, but conditions under the waves are surprisingly good. So much so, researchers are looking into it as a means for securing future food for the world's growing population.
