The US Senate vote sent a rebuke to President Trump who has repeatedly shown support for the Saudi-led regime. The Senate also approved a resolution blaming the Saudi Crown Prince for journalist Jamal Khashoggi's death.

Meanwhile in the US, the Senate has backed a resolution to end American support for the Saudi war effort in Yemen. Theresa May left Brussels without saying a word after talks with EU leaders aimed at securing reassurances about aspects of her Brexit deal that have split her party and polarized Britain's parliament. Jon Worth, a Brexit analyst, told Brent Goff that British lawmakers will vote down her deal, even in the unlikely event that the Prime Minister secures concessions.
