Facts About the Human Circulatory System

All the blood vessels in the human body lined up end-to-end would stretch about 100,000 kilometers. That's about two and a half times the earth's circumference. The arteries carry oxygenated blood from the heart to various parts of the body. The veins carry oxygen-depleted blood back to the heart. Tiny capillaries connect the smallest parts of the arteries and veins.
