A recent EU survey found that more than half of Europeans see antisemitism as a problem in their own country.

In the Belgian city of Antwerp, members of the city's large and historic Jewish community say they are feeling this rise firsthand. Some link the current surge in hostility to reactions against Israeli government actions in Gaza and now Iran, noting that some people conflate Israel with Jewish communities worldwide — a perception they say fuels misplaced anger.
