What's behind rising gas prices in Germany? 20.03.2022

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, gasoline and diesel prices have exploded in Germany. Yet the price of crude oil has already fallen again. Who profits from high prices at the pump?

Since midnight, the price of fuel in Croatia has risen, reaching a record high price again, after the Croatian government lifted the limit on the highest fuel price. At midnight, the price of petrol in the Republic of Croatia rose by an average of 24 lipa, and diesel by 21 lipa, which is about 0.03 euros, and autogas is four lipa more expensive. The average price of Eurosuper is around 11.37 kuna (1.51 euros), Eurodiesel 11.33 kuna (1.51 euros), and autogas around 6.02 kuna (0.8 euros). It is estimated that the price of a full tank of petrol went up by 12 kuna (1.6 euros) and a tank of diesel by around 10.5 kuna (1.4 euros).
