Stuck in Ceuta: Refugees on EU's doorstep

Refugees trying to enter Europe now head for the Spanish exclave of Ceuta on the North African coast. Sabah Hamed gives them food, medicine and advice. While the influx is overwhelming Ceuta, she says the migrants only want a better life.

They come by the thousands, seeking refuge in Europe — yet they remain stuck in North Africa: migrants in the Spanish exclave of Ceuta. This autonomous city on the Moroccan coast is Spanish territory, yet most of the refugees who reach here are being barred from entering mainland Europe. Resident Sabah Hamed has compassion for the illegal immigrants and their plight. That's why she's welcomed many of them into her home in Ceuta. A report by Norman Striegel.
