An increasing proportion of advertising budgets is being assigned to social media presentations and other online activities. This development translates into less money for traditional forms of advertising - and therefore less work for agencies.
Some PR companies are now turning to product development themselves. The Hamburg-based Kolle Rebbe agency, for example, makes its own brand of soap. Made in Germany looks at advertisers who are finding alternative sources of income.
