On the agenda at the upcoming G8 summit there are a number of important issues, and nearly all of them are relevant to Russia. The problem of managing our natural resources, which Russia is rich in, and copyright theft, which is holding up the development of our economy.

Russia should bring its perspective and experience to help in finding solutions to these problems. Russia also should also play a significant role is discussion over the security problems in Africa at this meeting. I believe the G8 can solve these problems, if they work together. In my opinion the G8 countries need to take more action to settle international conflicts. Most of all, I expect concrete results from this meeting in Heiligendamm.
