After years of international defeats in the post-Soviet era, Russia has been reasserting its power in the Middle East. Russia has sent troops and planes to Syria since 2015 and has two large military bases there. Russia has also allied itself with Iran and Turkey. Foreign correspondent Reese Erlich reports from Moscow on the controversy produced by this new assertion of military power.
