While the players are having a well earned rest after the semi-finals this week, the fans are out and about sightseeing in Russia. This can't be taken for granted as the country has been notoriously restrictive of tourists' movement in the past.
Russian footballers Alexander Kokorin and Pavel Mamayev are the subject of a criminal investigation for hooliganism. The pair are accused of carrying out violent attacks in Moscow, which were captured on CCTV.
Russian activist Pyotr Verzilov is under police protection in Berlin after suffering an apparent poisoning attack in Moscow. Speaking to DW, Verzilov says he had been targeted over his investigative work.

Russia wants the UK to reveal what it knows about the identity of the two suspects in the poisoning of an ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal. Moscow said it wants to get to the bottom of the case.
