There's nothing like doing your homework ahead of a big tournament. To find out more about the teams at the 2014 World Cup tournament, here is a collation of our team guides.

Each team has its strengths and unique characteristics. From Spain's 'tiki-taka', to the style of Chile; the relative inexperience of England to the talented African teams.

All teams were officially confirmed on June 2. While Germany take the crown as the highest-valued team, ahead of Spain and England, the depth of talent at this World Cup is greater than ever before.

More than 4,000,000 supporters will watch 736 players over four weeks, with more than three-quarters of those professionals playing their club football in Europe.
