The Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is now home to model of Venice. Spanning just 9 square meters, it cost over a million euros and took more than 35,000 hours to build.
The lagoon city is the new highlight of the world's largest model railway complex in Hamburg's Speicherstadt. From 21 February, the miniature gondolas will run through the canals of little Venice in Bella Italia.

The Speicherstadt is the largest warehouse district in the world and since 2015 a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The red brick neo-gothic buildings are very much a landmark of Hamburg.
A plan by Netflix to show their latest film, Roma, on screen and in theaters simultaneously has German cinema operators up in arms. The conflict could shake up a tried-and-true movie-going system.
