Virtual Reality, or "VR", is the three-dimensional and interactive perception of computer-generated, artificial environments.
VR requires special glasses. Interactions require additional digital gloves. Fields in which VR is applied include: research and training (for example in flight simulators), architecture in which entire buildings are depicted in 3-D and the entertainment industry.
A nail salon in Los Angeles is now offering virtual reality experiences during manicures and pedicures. The move is aimed to help customers relax into a meditative state. The images include 360 degree experiences of forests, beaches and waterfalls.
