A man in his early twenties, armed with a shotgun and carrying a fuel can, was shot dead after attempting to enter Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago through its north gate at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. Secret Service agents and a local deputy opened fire when the intruder raised his weapon. The FBI is investigating and urging residents to check security footage. The incident follows previous security threats against US President Trump, including the 2024 rally shooting and a later assassination attempt in Florida.
