As Google looks at developing a search engine censored by Beijing, China's online authoritarianism combined with its development as a global hub for artificial intelligence innovation presents an ethical dilemma.
The UK's High Court has blocked an attempt to bring legal action against Google for alleged illegal data collection. The 'Google You Owe Us' group said it plans to appeal.
Google has announced it will be winding down its little-used Plus social network. The tech giant has also admitted that a bug in its social network may have exposed the personal data of some 500,000 users.
