Seattle Seahawks beat New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LX
The Seattle Seahawks have defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 to win the franchise's second-ever Vince Lombardi trophy.
The game was a slow burner, with 30 points coming in the fourth quarter, as the team's defenses — especially Seattle's — dominated proceedings.
With the Seahawks leading 12-0 entering the final frame after four field goals from Jason Myers, veteran quarterback Sam Darnold threw a pass to AJ Barner for the game's first touchdown.
New England reduced the deficit when Drake Maye passed to Mack Hollins for a TD, before Seahawks linebacker Uchenna Nwosu intercepted Maye and ran the ball into the endzone for a "pick-6" to make the score 29-7.
The Patriots added a consolation touchdown, but it was too little, too late, as the Seahawks ran out deserved winners.

Kid Rock headlines Turning Point USA's alternative Super Bowl halftime show
Bad Bunny wasn't the only star who headlined a performance on Super Bowl Sunday.
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) — the conservative organization cofounded by slain activist Charlie Kirk — offered what it had dubbed the "All-American Halftime Show" to rival the Super Bowl.
The performance featured Kid Rock, a Donald Trump supporter, and three other country singers, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.
The show, which ran for about half an hour, had around four million views on YouTube. It ended with a montage of Kirk.
TPUSA announced the alternative halftime show in October last year in protest at Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny taking the Super Bowl stage.
Celebrity watch: Which stars are attending Super Bowl LX?
The Super Bowl is always a magnet for A-list stars, and this year is no different.
Some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment are in Levi's Stadium to watch Super Bowl LX on Sunday.
Here are some of the stars we have spotted at Super Bowl 2026:
Trump slams 'terrible' Bad Bunny halftime show
It seems Donald Trump isn't a fan of reggaeton.
In a post on Truth Social, the US president said the Super Bowl halftime show, headlined by Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny who performed the set in Spanish and paid tribute to Puerto Rican culture and heritage, was "absolutely terrible" and "one of the worst ever."
"It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence," Trump said.
"Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World. This 'Show' is just a 'slap in the face' to our Country," the Republican president said.
Second half is underway
In a matter of minutes, the field has been cleared of all the stages and dancers from Bad Bunny's halftime show.
The players are back out, with 30 minutes of football left to play before the Super Bowl champion is crowned.
Can Seattle hold onto their 9-0 lead and add a second Vince Lombardi trophy? Or will New England win a record seventh title?
Stay tuned to find out.
Bad Bunny pays tribute to Puerto Rico in Super Bowl LX halftime show
Unless you're really into American football, this is Sunday's main event: Bad Bunny's Super Bowl 2026 halftime show.
The performance opened with a fan favorite, "Tití Me Preguntó," which translates as "Auntie Asked Me."
Bad Bunny also paid tribute to Puerto Rican reggaeton history with the opening notes of Daddy Yankee's "Gasolina."
He was joined by Lady Gaga, who performed a salsa version of her and Bruno Mars' "Die With A Smile."
Another surprise guest was Ricky Martin, a fellow Puerto Rican musical icon, who performed "Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii" ("What Happened to Hawaii").
Actors Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba, as well as rapper Cardi B, were also featured in the show.
Bad Bunny ended his highly anticipated performance in front of a screen with a poignant message: "The only thing stronger than hate is love."
Halftime in Super Bowl LX
The Seattle Seahawks have settled better than the New England Patriots, with the NFC champions holding a 9-0 lead after two quarters.
Seahawks kicker Jason Myers has made three field goals to give Seattle the upper hand, but it's still all to play for in the second half.
Halftime during Super Bowls is considerably longer than the 15-minute break teams would normally get, as the stage needs to be set up on the field for the highly anticipated halftime show.
This year, it will be headlined by Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny, who is set to make history by performing his set entirely in Spanish.
That's coming up next.

NFL basics for beginners
For those of you who don't follow the NFL regularly and are just tuning in for the season finale, here are some of the basics of the game to help you follow the action:
- When a team is on offense with the ball, they will attempt to either run or throw it down the 100-yard-long field
- If a team gets the ball into the end zone, they score a touchdown, which is worth 6 points (a successful extra point kick afterward makes it 7)
- The defending team is tasked with stopping the offense by tackling the player carrying the ball, knocking the football to the ground or catching it for an interception
- The team with the ball has four chances — known as "downs" — to move the ball at least 10 yards down the field
- If they advance 10 yards or more, the downs reset, and if they fail to reach 10 yards, the other team gets the ball
- Wondering why there are so many people on the sideline? Teams have separate defensive and offensive sets of players, so when a team has the ball, its offensive players take the field while their defensive teammates wait for their turn to take the field
Super Bowl LX kicks off
With the pre-game performances and the singing of the US national anthem complete, the moment NFL fans have been waiting for for the past two weeks has finally arrived.
The New England Patriots have kicked off to the Seattle Seahawks, and with that, Super Bowl LX is underway!
Green Day performs pregame show for Super Bowl 2026
Green Day has warmed up the crowd in Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara ahead of Super Bowl LX.
The US rock band rolled out some of their biggest hits such as "Holiday", "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" and "American Idiot" for the opening ceremony.
One of the biggest rock acts of their generation, Green Day has long been a vocal critic of the Trump administration.
Ahead of their performance before Sunday's game, Green Day's lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, had a pointed message for ICE agents at a Super Bowl pre-party in San Francisco: "To all the ICE agents out there, wherever you are, quit your [expletive] job. Quit that [expletive] job you have."
Their pre-game performance, however, stayed clear of any controversies.
Towards the end of the pre-game show, the band were joined on stage by former Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks, including Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

Anticipation is building in San Francisco ahead of the Super Bowl. With Puerto Rican, Spanish‑singing artist Bad Bunny headlining the halftime show, the focus won't be solely on US football this year.
