26-year-old Hashem Al-Ghaili, a Yemeni biologist living in Germany, makes the case for science with his infotainment videos. He's already collected a good six million fans on Facebook.

Hashem Al-Ghaili's story sounds a bit like a modern fairly tale. Born to poor farmers in Yemen, he won a scholarship to university in Pakistan. In his free time, he creates infographics explaining complex scientific subjects and posts them on Facebook. The videos he made for his Science Nature Page have received over two billion views.
