Radio reaches even the furthest village.

They uncover world-shaking scandals, they get to meet the famous and the powerful and they are right there where the action takes place. Journalism is a thrilling profession - but also shrouded in mystery. The same is true for acting. Nigeria, for example, has a booming film industry and many actors are heroes for thousands of people. Yet few people know, what a tough job acting is.

Here's your chance if you’d like to learn more about the world of the media. Learning by Ear's new programs about media and information take you on a tour behind the scenes of the media industry.

Join Young Junior, Sister P., Charlie and Ezra, four young African teenagers, in the ten episodes of our new radio drama, as they learn what it takes to set up their own radio station and how to make it in the media world. From journalism ethics to rubbing shoulders with the rich and mighty - ten new adventures are waiting for you.

Learning by Ear is available in six languages: English, Kiswahili, French, Hausa, Portuguese and Amharic. It is supported by Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.
