"Unbound," Instagram's new mini-series based on David Bowie's 28th album ★,or "Blackstar," was completed in December 2015 before the music legend passed away on January 10, 2016.

"Each episode of the series is sure to capture the imaginations of all who experience it and will undoubtedly lead to endless speculation and discussion of meaning, metaphor and intention," Instagram wrote on its @instaminiseries account.

Rookie Magazine founder Tavi Gevinson and Patricia Clarkson (probably best-known for "Six Feet Under") star in the series, which launches Thursday (25.02.2016).

Media has speculated that each episode will last only 15 seconds, amounting to a total film length of four minutes. Nevertheless, Instagram promises a "journey of evocative images inspired by the moods suggested in the album's music, lyrics and artwork."

New episodes will be published every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
