One way of getting to know Hamburg is to explore it with a ‘Greeter’. They’re volunteer guides who take visitors on an itinerary they’ve drawn up themselves. It’s a way of finding out how locals see their city and discovering their favorite places.
The annual ranking put out by the British magazine Monocle also placed Dusseldorf in the top 20. Tokyo came in second. No US city made the top 25, with picturesque Vancouver the only North American city in the mix.
