Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel last year visited Luanda to meet Angola's president Joao Lourenco, who came to power nearly four years ago on a pledge to create jobs and tackle corruption. But Lourenco comes from the same political party as the previous president, whose corrupt rule devastated the economy. DW's Adrian Kriesch sent this report during the chacellor's visit in 2020.
