World in Progress: The future of wheat

From Indian chapatis to Italian pasta and German bread, wheat is one of the most important staple foods worldwide. But in order to feed a growing population while rising temperatures and water scarcity impacts crops, wheat experts look for new solutions. Emmanuelle Landais talked to international researchers and wheat farmers at a recent conference in Canada about the future of wheat.
