International politicians and ordinary citizens gathered to pay their respects to the sixth president of the Federal Republic of Germany, who died at the age of 94. Richard von Weizsäcker was given a state funeral February 11 in Berlin. The former head of state will be remembered for his role in helping Germany confront its Nazi past, and for presiding over German reunification.
