German researchers are developing cars that can detect and avoid objects and people.
Swedish police believe the series of car fires started by a number of youths were coordinated using smartphones. Police are yet to determine a motive for the attacks, which saw more than 100 cars burned or vandalized.

German police have been investigating suspicious letters containing white powder sent to the American and Israeli embassies in Berlin. The probe is focusing on a suspect known to authorities.
