The International Criminal Court in The Hague is to announce today whether Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir should be charged with genocide - the court earlier rejected a request to include genocide in the arrest warrant. The prosecution appealed, and today's ruling will be a final decision on the matter. Al-Bashir is accused of using militia to target civilians in the Darfur region of Sudan. The UN says up to 300,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million displaced by the fighting there since 2003.
