Among the refugee multitudes are many college students who were forced to interrupt their studies. The German online project Kiron University aims to provide an unbureaucratic alternative.
Many refugees hope to attend university in Germany, but can't get admitted. Few have mastered German well enough. Some lack the academic prerequisites or have no access to their transcripts. Now an online university aims to help. Refugees can enroll at Kiron University and study free of charge. Support is provided by US universities Harvard and Stanford.
