Based in Berlin, Lukas has various roles in DW's newsroom, reporting and producing international news. As a reporter for Eco Africa, his work focuses on climate and eco-solutions, working alongside colleagues across the continent, and aiming to spotlight stories that inspire change.
Originally from Austria, Lukas has a background in media technology, radio, and a postgraduate degree in TV journalism. He covers a wide range of topics — from breaking news to in-depth environmental reporting – and brings a creative, constructive and collaborative approach to his storytelling.
His reporting has taken Lukas across Europe and West Africa, enabling him to amplify underrepresented voices and explore how innovation can drive social and environmental progress.
