Flamingo chicks rescued in South Africa

Kamfers Dam, near Kimberley, is the only breeding area in South Africa for the shimmering flocks of pink birds, but after the dam dried out, more than 2000 eggs abandoned in scorching heat as the parents flew away to find food. Since then, an operation has been underway to save as many chicks as possible.
