Lagos exhibition celebrates life and legacy of Fela Kuti

Visitors can enjoy live renditions of Fela Kuti's music and explore more than 400 items from the Afrobeat pioneer's career, including personal belongings, photographs, paintings, and rare videos of his performances.

Lagos honors Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti with a major exhibition celebrating his music, activism, and bold individuality. First launched in Paris, the show now includes legacy programs and live events. Fela, who died in 1997, remains a symbol of resistance and hope in Nigeria, inspiring new generations to see music as a force for political change.
