Citizens across Israel have commemorated Yom HaShoah, the annual national Holocaust Remembrance Day. Politicians and religious leaders marked the day in Jerusalem. Events remembering the victims were also held in Poland at the former Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
