Earlier this month around three hundred mainly African migrants forced their way through a checkpoint between France and Italy before French police rounded them up and sent them back to the Italian town of Ventimiglia. France re-established border controls after the terrorist attacks last November, and since then French police have blocked access to over 15,000 migrants trying to cross from Italy.
