But change is underway: reforms implementing equal pay and the historic win of India's women in the World Cup in 2025 have inspired thousands of girls.

Deepti Sharma, the star player who led that victory, urges young female cricketers to keep pushing. According to coaches, interest has doubled, signaling a bright future for women's cricket.
