Europe’s craziest hotels
We visited five unconventional hotels in five European countries, where guests can look forward to a memorable night. They range from a suite in a former silver mine to aconverted crane in the port of Amsterdam!
Lopifit - a treadmill on wheels
The Dutch are big on bikes, now they've come up with the Lopifit – a kind of outdoor treadmill on an e-bike or scooter. Euromaxx travelled to Utrecht to check out this brand new mode of transportation.
Lord of the flies: Insect photography by Levon Biss
British photographer Levon Biss uses microscopic images to show the otherwise unseen beauty of insects. He drew on the archives of the Natural History Museum in Oxford. And it’s there that his work is now on display.
Controversial architecture
Monolithic, massive, grey: Brutalism is arguably the most unloved style of 20th century architecture. Concrete structures from the 1950s, 60s and 70s are being demolished. But some seek to save these buildings.
Cars of the stars at the Concorso d’Eleganza
The historical Italian motor show features an extra category this year: ‘Cars of the Stars’, automobiles that starred in films or were owned by movie legends like Steve McQueen or Clark Gable.
