
Davor Batisweiler

Davor has been working in media for more than 20 years, from radio and television to digital broadcasters. At Deutsche Welle, he focuses primarily on video production and writes reports.
He is a media professional who has worked as a journalist, reporter, editor, and producer for media and production companies in Croatia. Today, he is mainly involved in the production of video content—since 2017 as a correspondent for Deutsche Welle.
Prior to that, he studied journalism at the Faculty of Political Science in the Croatian capital Zagreb. He began his career in 2004 at Croatian Radio and Television (HRT), where he worked as a radio journalist, presenter, and editor in the culture and science department. In 2007, he moved to television and developed a special interest in video journalism and production.
He spent eight years at Styria Media Group in Croatia (24sata, Večernji list) working on digital media channels, where he worked his way up to senior video producer. Today, he works in content development and video production, including video clips, documentaries, interviews, podcasts, promotional materials, live streams, webinars, and short formats for social media.
