Venezuela's island of Curacao is becoming an escape magnet

Venezuela’s economy nosedived after oil prices crashed in 2014, causing ongoing food shortages and exorbitant hyperinflation. According to the IMF, over 80 percent of households are now living in poverty. So it's hardly surprising that a growing number of Venezuelans want to leave the country. With most not having the necessary cash to escape the country, they are heading to the island of Curacao.
