Through a combination of science and design, the Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) brings together researchers from around the world to develop new knowledge, technologies and approaches for a sustainable future. And while it takes an Asian perspective, the ideas outlined at the meeting of 100 scientists in Singapore will be useful for regions all over the world, as reporter Lena Bodewein found out.
