World in Progress: Keeping small island schools alive

Only a few people live on the Aeolian islands in Italy during winter. The population is declining – if the school closes, the village will become nothing more than a pretty backdrop. That's why every effort is being made to keep these mini-schools alive – and digitalization is proving to be a great help. Natalie Muller has this story by Lisa Weiß.
