Only Russia and the US have welcomed more immigrants than Germany. Some 12 million immigrants live here -- like the Karpenkos who reside in Landshut, Bavaria. The family came to Germany from Ukraine 12 years ago. Now the daughters are attending Germany universities and their parents are happy they came here.
